With a portfolio spanning more the 500 articles covering sports, politics, and entertainment, Mike offers a broad range of experiences and styles to embellish any journalism project.
Currently, Mike composes the CrowdPleasers column for
Mobile Beat magazine,
offering thoughts, ideas and perspective for mobile entertainers.
And, he composes a monthly column directed to spectators and parents
of athletes for the Central Oregon Family News.
Mike's work has also appeared in True North Parenting magazine, composing The Ride Home with suggestions for parents and young athletes on dealing with this often overlooked aspect of the sporting experience and The Importance of Sports Physicals, highlighting what happens during a health review for a young athlete.
And, Mike contributed frequently to a weekly sports opinion and humor column, Left Field, for The Source Weekly. His writing has been published in the San Jose Mercury News, the San Francisco Progress, Event Solutions, and the San Mateo Times.

Sportscaster
Mike is Central Oregon’s most active sportscaster.
During the past four plus years, Mike called more than 40 football games, 70 basketball games and 60 baseball games. In addition, he served as public address announcer for more than 30 baseball and basketball games.
Mike is on the staff of COTV/Zolo Media calling high school football, soccer and basketball games throughout Central Oregon. In addition, when he is not on the air for COTV, Mike frequently serves as a statistician for the telecasts.
Mike also serves as the voice of the Bend Elks on 88.9 KPOV, offering play-by-play for the local nine’s West Coast League home games with Tristan “The Speaker” Reisfar and Chuck “The Mailman” Malley.
Serving as the voice of Crook County High School sports for four years, Mike called the action for ten football games and eighteen boys’ and girls’ basketball games annually on AM690 and 96.9 FM KRCO. Mike has enjoyed working with Dave Jarvis on KBND broadcasts.
